More Than a Show – Building Life Skills
Supporting OJSA isn’t just about the ribbons. It’s about helping youth become well-rounded adults. Through your sponsorship, junior members learn:
Budgeting and award planning
Ordering and managing inventory
Marketing & Promotion of supporting businesses
Public speaking and professionalism
And of course the stewardship of the Shorthorn breed
At its core, showing cattle is about taking pride in a product and presenting it in the best light possible. These lessons in responsibility, presentation, and pride stay with youth long after the fair ends.
With your support, we’ll continue to grow a strong, enthusiastic, and skilled group of Shorthorn juniors at the Oregon State Fair and beyond. Be part of the future of agriculture—sponsor OJSA today.

We are proud to recognize Due West Livestock, LLC, based right here in Oregon, as a Red Sponsor for the 2025 Oregon State Fair Junior Shorthorn Show! Their generous support is a testament to their belief in the power of youth agriculture and the mission of the re-established Oregon Junior Shorthorn Association (OJSA). TLJ Design Co, owned by Torrie Johnson, is making a name for itself in the livestock and ag community through clean, professional, and creative graphic design work. Torrie has worked with several local breeders, including M&M Shorthorns, and is the talent behind the newly designed Oregon Junior Shorthorn Association (OJSA) logo. Most recently, TLJ Design Co was commissioned to create the Grand Champion and Reserve Grand Champion Female and Bull banners for the Junior Shorthorn Show, a testament to Torrie’s growing reputation for quality and attention to detail. Her work captures the pride, tradition, and excitement of the stock show world with a modern edge.
Zoey James, owner of Little River Equine & Livestock Services in Texas, understands firsthand the dedication it takes to prepare Shorthorn cattle for the show ring. From quality feed and consistent practice to expert bodywork, she knows success starts long before show day. But Zoey also believes that a skilled showman can make any Shorthorn shine, regardless of its background or build. In recognition of the effort and heart it takes to compete, she has graciously donated the Junior, Intermediate, and Senior Showmanship buckles for the 2025 Oregon State Fair’s Junior Shorthorn Division. Her support highlights the importance of showmanship and her commitment to encouraging the next generation of cattlemen and women.
We are excited to share the generous support of Wilco Co-Op, who has donated four $25 gift certificates to help make the Oregon Junior Shorthorn Association Junior Shorthorn/Shorthorn Plus Show a memorable and rewarding experience for our young exhibitors
Fortress Trucking, LLC, based in Olathe, Kansas, is proud to support the next generation of livestock exhibitors. A former member of the Oregon Junior Shorthorn Association, they credit much of their success to the skills and experiences gained through the OJSA. Their generous donation allows all exhibitors in the Open and Junior Shorthorn/Shorthorn Plus Show at the Oregon State Fair to download their ring-side photos for free, helping preserve memories of a special show experience
Quiby’s Land & Livestock, owned by Amber and Mitch, has been built on a love for agriculture and a passion for community. What started as a small-scale farm-to-table operation has now grown to proudly offer even more in 2025—4-H and FFA steers and heifers for youth projects, alongside the same high-quality, local, homegrown beef families have come to trust on their tables. With hard work, heart, and dedication, Amber and Mitch continue to invest in the next generation of agriculture while providing wholesome beef you can feel good about feeding your family.
At Powell Place Shorthorns, we are proud to raise high-quality Registered Shorthorn and Shorthorn Plus cattle right here in Central Oregon. With a focus on strong genetics and sound cattle, we are excited to now offer 4-H and FFA market and breeding prospects to help the next generation of livestock exhibitors succeed. In addition to our cattle program, we also provide local, homegrown beef—raised with care and dedication—to bring wholesome, flavorful meals to your family’s table.
